I already know about What to Expect When You’re Expecting (seems a bit boring and lacks pictures). Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I don’t like the “what to expect when you’re expecting” book… It was way too negative for me…
I read “You and Your Baby: Pregnancy” by Dr. Laura Riley, OB/GYN
I LOVE this book. It’s up to date, has nice photos, and is great to read if you want to have a positive, and worry-free pregnancy. It discusses a lot of the issues involved in pregnancy.

I really like Your Pregnancy Week By Week by Glade Curtis. It doesn’t have a ton of pictures, but it does show a picture of what your baby looks like at each week of development. In the early weeks the pictures are drawn to scale so you can really get an idea of how big your baby is.

What to Expect is a good guide and a reference when you have a question but The Modern Girl’s Guide to Motherhood by Jane Buckingham is an awesome read and she gives great suggestions on things you need to buy and what is a waste of money.Plus, she covers the first year as well and will make you laugh.

One that I like is a DK (Dorling Kindersley) book… it’s not week by week, but it’s very informative, and has pictures both of what you’ll look like, and what baby’ll look like at every stage of pregnancy. It’s called Pregnancy and Birth, Your Questions Answered. I’m almost 26 weeks along, and would’ve spazzed MANY times if it wasn’t for that book.
