Unless you know your when you ovulate in your cycle, the standard to use is 14 days before your next period.
So if I assume you have a 28 day cycle, then I would put ovulation at August 29 + 14 days, which is September 12.

well, i’m in parenting/child development class, and we had to do a project of a pregnancy calender, and our teacher said, the due date [which was our birthdays] count 40 weeks back from that and that’s your conception date.

Date of conception depends on your cycle if its a normal 28 day cycle then count 14 days before the first day or your last period which would give you August 15th
