Belly Out is about the third trimester of pregnancy and the birth/baby to come. I have had three children. The first was without trouble (aside from the mystery of happenstance), my husband cut the cord while being photographed. Our original doctor didn’t even do the delivery as it coincided with a Christmas party he attended! His partner did the actual work. She was a girl.
Our second, it was good the doctor was there and he maybe saved our babies life! His arm was twisted around the head and it was causing trouble with the delivery. Also, maybe serious injury to his head! But, thanks to the hospital and doctor all came out fine. Unfortunately, at age 18 months, our son was shocked into Autism by the MMR vaccine. I know academic types that seem to buy into the clinical studies financed by the drug companies with biased interests will deny it. But, for our family it is 1000% sure that this was the cause. It was black and white. Night and Day. Upon reflection, we even remember the nurse using the last of a vial that should have been disgarded, this is when they still used mercury (whose idiotic idea was that?). So, he got a double whammy followed by a traumatic seperation from his Daddy (and ruthless teasing by his sister) by a rare business trip. Also, there may well have been genetic pre-conditions (why few on the studies prove the truth). Regardless, that was over 12 years ago, he is severe (our specialist says #3 worst he has treated and he has treated hundreds of Autistics), and we need to have constant care for the rest of his life (thanks alot Merck!).
Our third child came as quite a surprise (no details, but those that consider stopping at two will understand). The third trimester was stressful because my husband had a new job with a startup company about 250 miles away! But, I wanted to have my delivery in the same hospital as the other two. Long story short. The delivery was overdue and we tried everything to getter done. LOL, even the raspberry tea and bumpy roads technique! Nothing seemed to work. Then, all of a sudden… Labor! In the middle of the night! Again, long story short, the delivery was extremely quick (around 3am), so quick that my husband didn’t even make it back in time from dropping the kids off with our caregiver! And, the HMO doctor (not our original on the other two), let me tear instead of cutting (minimizes damage) and was awful! It was not a pleasant delivery at all.
Well, that is what Belly Out is about. Thanks for looking!
